Dear Friends, Greetings from Albion Nazarene! I trust that you have been having a great summer. Some of you have been able to get away for a few days or even a few weeks. So glad that Brent and Michelle Green were able to have a great trip to Europe. The pictures were beautiful! Happy 24th anniversary! We are celebrating the miracle of Pastor Phil Gilmore being able to have a kidney transplant that went so successfully. The kidney was starting to function even before they had him closed up. He is home recuperating from the surgery and he and Deb are making the welcome adjustment to life without almost daily dialysis. Now, their life does not have to revolve around that time consuming, intense procedure! Thank you, God!
It was noted this past Sunday morning that it has been 6 years since Mike and Brenda Sass’s horrific motorcycle accident that left Brenda hanging on for her life in ICU! God brought her through that miraculously and we are still praising God for what He did! We are praising God for the safe and productive trip of our Encuentro mission team to Costa Rica a few weeks ago. It was a wonderful experience for Dana Young, Tonya Hockenberry, Judy Hyde, Logan Wolfe, Randy Hites, Ginger Hites, Maggie Morvay, Josh Ball, and Missy and Keiauna Osterberg. Our hearts go out to and our tears flow for Billy and Rachel Sadler and their children Daniel, Claudia, and David due to the passing of Rachel’s father, just 8 months after losing her mother. We are praying for you and love you! Thank you to everyone who has been reaching out to them to express your love and concern. Romans 12:15 tells the church to “Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” As you can see above, that is what we have been doing. There are some exciting things coming up, as you will find elsewhere in this newsletter. Pittsburgh District Family Camp begins Sunday, August 29th and goes through Sunday, August 5th. We usually have 20 to 30 people there from our church for part of or all of the week! Our Country Campout is coming up August 10-12 with the movie showings Saturday evening at 9PM. Sunday morning service will be outdoors at the church, weather permitting. “You Belong Here” Back to Church Sunday will be on September 16th. This is a great time to encourage your friends and family to try out your church. We will be promoting it at our Albion Fair food trailer. Our local church sponsored men’s retreat is scheduled for October 12-14. You can begin to register, now! Have a great rest of the summer! Keep God #1! In Christ’s Love, Pastor Wayne
